Banda britânica formada no final dos anos 1960, conhecida por seu som sofisticado e pela fusão de elementos do rock progressivo com melodias acessíveis. A fama mundial se deu com Breakfast in America (1979), que trouxe hits como The Logical Song, Goodbye Stranger e Take the Long Way Home. Esse álbum consolidou o som mais pop da banda e se tornou um dos mais vendidos da época, elevando a banda ao status de superestrela.
Nos anos 80, Roger Hodgson, um dos integrantes, decidiu deixar o grupo para seguir carreira solo, levando consigo parte da identidade sonora que caracterizava o trabalho da banda até então.
